ÉQUILIBRE_STUDY_007 is one out of twenty original pieces made from a blend of japanese inks applied across a spectrum of papers. The Equilibre study considers "perspective" and its relationship to a simplistic "postive and negative" balance. The bold and rapid gestures are thoughtfully placed upon organically layered paper to create a striking duality between positive and negative space.
Upon viewing, do you see the composition made from the black positive strokes or the white negative reliefs? Like an optical illusion, the pespective can entirely change the way you see the work.
Unique and spontaneous motions wihin each piece of this collection serve as a single muscian within a larger symphony. These works capture the rhythmic strides that are methodically placed and forever changing to its viewer.
